Wow! What a wonderful reception from the community for both the Albert County Exhibition and the donations of soccer equipment.
I have had the opportunity to speak with one of the amazing organisers of the Dining Hall meals from the Albert County Exhibition and the final report says that there were 1660 meals served from Thurdsay to Sunday. Because of your support, our grad volunteers received a donation that can be put toward their grad fees. Thank you to those who came and dined, those who picked up meals to take them home, those who donated pies, pickles, rolls, or cranberries, and those who donated their time behind the scenes to help things run smoothly! The CRHS grads greatly appreciate your support.
CRHS also put out a message asking for donations of soccer cleats and shin-pads to allow students without proper equipment to participate in soccer Overall, the school received 15 pairs of cleats and 10 sets of shin-pads! These were distributed to students in need at both the middle school and high school level. Those students now have the joys of participating in a team sport with their friends, as well as gaining the opportunity to create new friendships along the way. These donations go beyond this year as well. At the end of the season all donated pairs will be returned to the school so that they may be used again in the following season. Thank you to those who donated, your act of kindness will make a positive impact on students for years to come!
Finally, one big thank you to all of the volunteers within our community. Whether you are involved with an activity at the school or elsewhere, being a volunteer takes a lot of time and effort. The work you are doing is fostering our sense of community and creating a wonderful atmosphere for children to stay and grow. Thank you for all that you are doing!
